Shooting all the jams, trunk openings, hood edges and all other areas that are otherwise covered up when you re-assemble the panels and paint, all have to be shot first.

Things are getting complicated. Which means, things have to be perfect. I can't help myself. But in the end, SPECTACULAR!

We are going over every line. We found the body lines were way off. The car has amazing lines and detailed features. The more we work on her, the more beautiful she becomes.
There are curves and angles throughout, but years of primer and paint have covered them up and lost the original design...but we intend to bring it back to its original prominence!
The fender air intake/heat exhaust rectangle was way off. Lines were curved and anything but straight...so, we fixed it.

Check out the lines following behind the gas filler area. Wow.You cans see them now!

Well, you know what they say. "the more you look, the more find." And we found. I must say, to most, all is well. But to me, not quite. Alot of corners were cut with the paint job, and most were found when we dissasembled the car.
Most do not take a car apart the way I do, so it is understandable why things were missed and needed work.
I am very particular about "flat panels". Most can not tell why our cars look so spectacular, but this attention to detail is the difference. Time consuming, but worth it!!!
The entire interior panels were sanded down and all rust removed, then sprayed with POR 15 Rust Preventive paint. For those not formiliar with POR 15, lets just say, the this car will NEVER rust. My great grand children will wonder just how it has sustained the ages of time.
Beginning to "massage" the lines. Lining up and smoothing out the panels is paramount to creating a perfectly smooth and contour body.
The last "paint job" was done without removing any chrome or trim. This creates hard lines of paint as well as not covering all the metal. So...all trim and chrome have been removed and all panels sanded down flat.
All window rubber and chrome have been removed and surface rust was revealed. Again, sanded and coated with Por 15 Rust paint was applied. All new rubber seals was purchased because of the old ones were dry and cracking.

We began to accent the body lines as you can see around one of the two gas tank fillers. Tomorrow we will prime and sand to accent ALL the lines on the car. This will be distinctive when painted.
