We had a VIP suite (Tony Stewart's...thats right , the Nascar #20 Home Depot Tony Stewart) and guess who was also a guess, Linda Vaughn. She was the poster girl for the Hurst shifter famous in the muscle cars of the 60's 70's and beyond. She became quite famous for being such a racing enthusiast, and still is today. She is quite the personality. Still attractive. But more importantly, quite the character. She was fun to be around. I do not think she has ever met a stranger.

Sat. night we went to Anderson Indianoplis for a race called "Little Indy". These were sprint cars on a track herald as the fastest quarter mile track in the world. And it was. These guys racing are NUTS !! If you can drive here, you can drive anywhere. Wrecks everywhere. It was insane!

Because of Gearing, all cars had to be off to start.

5 major wrecks in less than an hour. This place was "crazy" !

Unfortunately, a staff member was clean the track while the cars were circling around under caution and he stepped in front of one of the cars. doing probably 60 MPH. He was killed instantly.

SAT. was 'Carburator Day" at Indy. With passes, you could get into the pits and garages to see cars and drivers. However, it was raining most of the day. Fortunately, the vintage Indy cars were under a tent so, we could view and stay dry.
